Twin Mountain, NH - On March 7, 2026, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Twin Mountain emergency personnel were called for mutual aid to assist Bethlehem Fire with a reported snowmobile accident on the Sugarloaf Trail. Twin Mountain’s X1 unit, equipped with the rescue ATV, and A1 responded to the trail access on Lake Road nearest the incident.

Upon arrival, Bethlehem A1 and fire personnel met the Twin Mountain team on scene, and the ATV was deployed to reach the injured rider. The rider was located, and Twin Mountain providers transported them from the woods to Bethlehem’s ambulance for transport to Littleton Regional Hospital (LRH).

This incident marks the eighth snowmobile accident that Twin Mountain has been involved in this season, seven of which required the deployment of a rescue ATV.

Officials warn that with the ongoing warm weather, trail conditions are rapidly deteriorating. Riders are urged to exercise extreme caution, as trails can quickly shift from snow to ice to mud and back, sometimes requiring faster reaction times than usual.

Twin Mountain emergency services expressed their gratitude to Bethlehem Fire and Jefferson Fire for their collaboration this season, emphasizing the importance of mutual support among neighboring departments.
