Brookhaven N.Y. - At approximately 1:48 PM on Wednesday , March 10th the Brookhaven Fire Department and the South Country Ambulance Company were activated for a reported Motor Vehicle Accident at the intersection of Old Stump & Montauk Highway. The first chief on the road was 2nd assistant chief Giuseppe Loiacono and quickly arrived on scene and founded that he had a 2 car motor vehicle accident with a fuel spill and had 1 car in the road blocking. The first Rescue truck on the road was 5-3-4 and was advised by command to arrive on scene and they had a fuel spill and needed to put speedy dry down and to secure 2 cars and had to move 1 car off to the side of the road The second arriving rescue truck was 5-3-3 and was advised to bring their crew up and help out rescue 4’s crew. The South Country Ambulance Company responded with 3 ambulances and transported 3 patients that were involved in the accident to a near by hospital with non life threatening injuries. All units were cleared from the accident under 45 minutes.
