NEWBURGH, NY - Newburgh FD responded to South Street and Lander Street for a vehicle vs. motorcycle MVA on March 8th. City of Newburgh Police and Empress EMS were at the scene. Firefighters checked the vehicle for hazards and spread speedy dry on the roadway. Empress transported the motorcyclist and driver of the vehicle to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital. The area was taped off from Chambers Street to Johnson while New Windsor Police reconstructed the accident scene. The motorcyclist was later pronounced deceased. The City of Newburgh Police Dept. is investigating the cause.
