FRAMINGHAM, MA - In the late evening of March 5th, Framingham Fire Alarm dispatched a first alarm to 303 Grant Street. Companies arrived to a two-story wood-frame duplex with heavy smoke and fire throughout the 'Delta' side unit.
A working fire was transmitted and companies encountered heavy fire in the attic space. Crews were briefly pulled out of the attic before regrouping and making an aggressive interior attack, knocking down the heavy fire.
As companies began overhaul, pockets of fire were discovered throughout and a second-alarm was ordered by command, bringing the balance of city companies to the scene for additional manpower. Crews remained on scene into the early morning hours completing extensive overhaul while mutual aid covered.
