POMONA, NY - On Sunday, February 15, 2026, the Hillcrest Fire Department responded to 137 Camp Hill Road in Pomona for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, it was determined that a 20’ x 15’ chicken coop was on fire with possible exposure issues. The fire was quickly knocked down, and it was determined that there was no extension to a nearby garage. Unfortunately, a few chickens perished in the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
