On Sunday march 2nd the Manorville Fire Department was activated for a reported truck fire on the Long Island expressway just pasted exit 70. 5-16-31 arrived on scene with a fully involved truck and a grass fire extending to the woods he quickly requested 2 extra tankers and 2 extra brush trucks. Crews responded in and quickly knocked all fire down and started mop up. All units went back in service within 2 hours later.
