North Bellport N.Y - At approximately 5:23 PM on Thursday, March 4th, the Brookhaven Fire Department and the Bellport Fire Department was toned out for a residential structure fire on Yarrow Circle. Chief Dan DiPinto and assistant Giuseppe Loiacono were the first units on the road and was notified by fire-com that it was a electrical fire in the laundry room. On arrival of chief DiPinto had nothing showing and was investigating and notified fire-com that they could cancel Bellport. The first engine on the road was engine 5-3-8 and was ordered to bring a camera when arriving on scene and the second due engine to arrive on scene and bring their crew up with cans and irons to investigate. Ladder 5-3-1 also responded to the scene and positioned in front of the building. Firefighters went to work to see if there was any fire in the walls using the camera and found that there was no fire in the walls and found that construction in the laundry room caused the small electrical fire. No injuries were reported and all units were back in service within 30 minutes.
