Perry Fire Reports 309 Calls in January

PERRY, GA — February 21st — In January 2026, the City of Perry Fire and Emergency Services responded to 309 calls for service. The breakdown included 130 rescue and emergency medical situations, 14 fire calls, 12 hazardous conditions calls (no fire), 13 good intent reports, and 24 false alarms.

The agency recorded an average response time of six minutes and four seconds. 104 fire inspections, 14 plan reviews, and two fire investigations were conducted as part of the prevention and support operations. Crews also completed 1,415 hours of training and held four community risk-reduction programs.

Officials stated that the department continues to prioritize emergency response, prevention, and training while servicing over 26,000 residents throughout 27.9 square miles from two fire stations.
