Lithia Fire Destroys RV and Mobile Home

Hillsborough County, FL — February 9th —On Monday afternoon, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to two separate brush fires in eastern Hillsborough County.

The initial fire was reported at 1:18 p.m. on Welcome Road in Lithia. The fire spanned about five acres and destroyed an RV and an abandoned mobile home. There were no injuries recorded. While personnel were still working in Lithia, a second brush fire was reported at 2:17 PM near East Sligh Avenue and Lazydays RV Center in Seffner. A second-alarm reaction dispatched 24 units to safeguard adjacent homes and businesses. The fire was brought under control within two hours.

The agency commended the Florida Forest Service and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office for their help.
