SAVANNAH, GA — February 2nd — The Savannah Fire Department honored Battalion Chief Jeffrey Walton for 20 years of committed service to the department and the citizens of Savannah. Officials stated that Walton's career demonstrates a strong commitment to leadership, emergency response, and mentoring the next generation of firefighters. Throughout his career, Walton has contributed to fire suppression, incident command, and training, as well as improving operational readiness.
