COCONUT CREEK, FL — February 25th — Coconut Creek Fire Rescue honored Acting Lieutenant Bullock, Captain Baldwin, Driver-Engineer Ridenour, and Firefighters Binnix and Hart with the 2025 Call of the Year award for their reaction to a pediatric medical emergency at Winston Park Elementary School. Among June, crews examined a 5-year-old boy who had strange symptoms and soon detected indicators of a probable stroke, a rare illness among children. Their prompt evaluation and treatment helped ensure that the patient received timely care. Medical professionals later commended the team's actions with preserving the child's life. The youngster has now fully recovered.
