Nassau Crews Highlight Water Rescue Readiness

NASSAU COUNTY, FL — February 21st — A third-party caller reported five teens in trouble in the water, prompting the response of Nassau County Fire Rescue Professionals Local 3101, Yulee, FL, United States, 32041. In coordination with Fernandina Beach Ocean Rescue, Station 20 and Marine Unit 20 were sent out. All five people were safely returned to shore by lifeguards and two Ocean Rescue jet skis upon arrival. Everyone was deemed safe, and no medical emergency was discovered. To evaluate the situation and make sure no additional help was required, crews stayed on the scene. The incident, according to officials, emphasizes the importance of swift reaction, specialized maritime training, and interagency coordination in enhancing safety and facilitating successful water rescue operations.
