Mutual Aid Response Controls Fernandina Beach Fire

FERNANDINA BEACH, FL — February 3rd — A reported residential structure fire at 407 S. was responded to as mutual aid by Nassau County Fire Rescue Professionals Local 3101, Yulee, FL, United States, 32041. Fernandina Beach's 17th Street. When the crews arrived, there was a lot of smoke and fire, so they started coordinating search and suppression efforts.


While other units assisted with fire attack, water supply, and scene safety, firefighters carried out a vigorous interior search. Before being sent to a nearby hospital, one resident received on-scene treatment for minor burns and smoke inhalation. There were no recorded firefighter injuries. The incident was brought under control thanks to coordinated efforts between the Nassau County Fire Rescue and the Fernandina Beach Fire Department, according to officials. The cause of the fire is still being looked into.
