HINESVILLE, GA — February 5th — The Georgia State Capitol hosted the 2026 Firefighter Recognition Day, which was attended by representatives of the Hinesville Fire Department, 308 South Commerce St., 31133, Fire Marshal's Office. The yearly occasion honors the commitment and service of Georgia's firemen and fire officials. Fire marshals were solemnly sworn in during the ceremony, reaffirming their dedication to upholding professional standards in code enforcement and fire prevention, obtaining the necessary certifications, and completing continuing training.

Statewide public safety and community risk reduction are supported by these initiatives. Additionally, department members met with Georgia House District 168 State Representative Al Williams to discuss ongoing support for safety initiatives and fire service programs. Partnerships with state leaders, according to officials, improve operational preparedness, education, and prevention.
