WINTER PARK, FL — February 6th — Winter Park Fire-Rescue Department was called to a reported structural fire on Phelps Avenue. When crews arrived, they discovered an electrical panel on fire and promptly started suppression efforts. Firefighters prevented the issue from spreading to the remainder of the house and neighboring homes by containing it to a small portion of the house.

While workers secured the area, looked for any concealed fires, and restored utilities, a section of Phelps Avenue was closed. There were no reported injuries. Early 911 notification and quick action were crucial in minimizing damage, according to officials.
