CARLTON, GA — February 12th — In order to increase operational readiness, members of the Carlton, Georgia Volunteer Fire Department worked alongside Tender 17 and Engine 18 to provide practical training with their new Engine 17. In addition to coordinating rural firefighting methods, such as tanker shuttle and drafting processes, firefighters concentrated on pump panel operations, hose deployment, and water delivery.

Additionally, the training focused on collaboration, communication, and safe equipment deployment during structural fire situations. Regular drills using new equipment are crucial, according to officials, to make sure staff are capable of operating effectively in an emergency and comprehend each system. The department's continued dedication to readiness, security, and reliable service was emphasized during the session. Ongoing training supports efficient operations and enhances response skills during high-demand crises within the Carlton community.
