MADISON COUNTY, GA — February 26th — Madison County Fire Rescue units responded to a reported residential structure fire in the county's southern region. When crews arrived, they discovered smoke and fire, so they launched an internal fire attack to contain the situation. In addition to protecting surrounding exposures and ensuring that all residents were safely out of the house, firefighters sought to control the fire. The house was deemed a complete loss despite extensive suppression attempts.

After an on-scene examination, officials claimed the source of the incident was found to be electrical. There were no reported injuries. The displaced family is receiving immediate aid from the American Red Cross.
