Carnes Creek Responds to Fully Involved Building Fire

The Carnes Creek Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire near Tatum Street and Easy Street around 9:30 a.m. on February 4. Shiloh Fire, New Hope Fire, Toccoa Fire, Stephens County EMS, and the Sheriff's Office all responded.
While in route, firefighters reported seeing a lot of black smoke. The first firefighters to arrive discovered a massive building completely engulfed. Crews rapidly launched firefighting operations and concentrated on safeguarding neighboring exposures to keep the fire from spreading. The fire was quickly brought under control, with no injuries or significant property damage reported.
