January 31st — Charlotte County Public Safety recently held three Hands-Only CPR and AED classes, led by Fire Inspector II Max Lopez, to help residents prepare for medical emergencies. The training concentrated on recognizing cardiac arrest, dialing 911, and performing emergency chest compressions until first responders arrived. Participants also learned how to operate automatic external defibrillators and had hands-on experience to boost confidence and increase reaction time in real-world circumstances.
