WYCKOFF, NJ - Shortly before 3:00 P.M. on February 24th, the Wyckoff Fire Department was dispatched to 12 Madison Heights for a report of a fire. On arrival, heavy fire was venting out of (two) second-story windows on the “C” side of a two-and-a-half-story frame dwelling and extending to the attic and roof. A second-alarm was sounded, which brought mutual aid from Waldwick, Ridgewood, Franklin Lakes, Oakland, Allendale, Ramsey, Midland Park, and Ho-Ho-Kus to the scene. All occupants were confirmed out of the structure. Several lines were advanced to the second-floor and the fire was quickly knocked. Four aerials were raised to assist in overhaul. The fire was placed under control in less than one hour. No injuries were reported.
