Regional Partners Strengthen Emergency Planning

CAMILLA, GA — January 28th — The Emergency Operations Center offered a 16-hour training on planning and coordination for all-hazards catastrophes, which the Camilla Fire Department, located at 80 West Broad Street, Camilla, GA, United States, 31730, finished. Core EOC functions, resource management, communication, and operational planning during major catastrophes were all covered in the training, which was given by Homeland Security and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency.


Coordination between public safety, health, and support organizations, as well as unified command and situational awareness, were also stressed throughout the course. Mitchell County Fire Rescue, Crisp County Fire Rescue, Bibb County Macon Fire Department, Cuthbert Fire Department, Pelham Fire Department, Archbold Mitchell County Hospital, the American Red Cross, Mitchell County EMA, and Mitchell County E-911 were among those present.
