SAINT CLOUD, FL — February 15th — A huge industrial fire at Nursery Supplies, Inc., west of Kissimmee, prompted the St. Cloud Fire Rescue Department, located at 900 Minnesota Ave., Saint Cloud, FL, United States, 34769, to respond on mutual assistance. Following a wind-driven bush fire that moved into the facility's outside plastic inventory, Truck 30, Engine 33, and Chief 30 provided assistance.
Because of the enormity of the fire, the high fuel load, and the difficult circumstances, the incident was escalated to a four-alarm response. To set up a water supply, safeguard adjacent exposures, and limit the fire, crews collaborated with Osceola County Fire Rescue, the City of Kissimmee Fire Department, and regional partners. The response, according to officials, demonstrated excellent coordination, unified command, and regional cooperation. As suppression and overhaul efforts proceeded, firefighters were on the scene for extended periods of time.
