PORT RICHEY, FL — February 14th — Using the department's new Marine 42 rescue boat, firefighters from the Port Richey Fire Department, located at 7824 Grand Blvd., Port Richey, FL, United States, 34668, trained on nearby waterways throughout the day. The crews concentrated on practical familiarization, safety protocols, and scenario-based exercises that covered medical care, victim access, and coordinated operations with partner agencies and dispatch.


For situations near shorelines, canals, and open water, Marine 42 offers increased operational capabilities, greater safety features, and superior mobility. Crews are prepared for extreme weather response, water rescues, and boating situations thanks to the training. According to department officials, the vessel was made possible by the assistance of the Port Richey City Council and locals, demonstrating the community's ongoing commitment to regional preparedness and public safety.
