ACFR MARC Team Completes Week-Long Communications Training

Gainesville, FL — February 19th — Members of Alachua County Fire Rescue's Mutual Aid Radio Communications (MARC) team completed a week-long training program at Florida State Fire College, Ocala. The seminar gave an overview of the MARC program and focused on preparing deployment team members for regional and statewide response operations.

Participants worked through hands-on scenarios and communication exercises designed to strengthen interoperability, incident support, and coordination with partner agencies. The training stressed the importance of maintaining dependable radio communications during large-scale catastrophes, disasters, and mutual-aid deployments.
