JACKSON COUNTY, FL — January 27th — This week, Jackson County Fire Rescue offered Basic Life Support competency check-offs to workers at the Jackson County Correctional Facility. The training focused on basic patient care skills such as CPR, AED use, airway management, and emergency response preparation. Officials stated that the training assists correctional officers who operate in a difficult environment and may be the first to respond to medical issues within the prison. The training also emphasized teamwork, communication, and preparation.
