AVERA, GA — February 6th — Avera Fire & Rescue honored Firefighter Levi Summy at its Firefighter Friday focus. Summy has been with the department for three and a half years, beginning with Volunteer Firefighter certification and recently finishing Firefighter I certification.

According to department management, Summy provides energy and a forward-thinking approach to training as one of the department's active training officers. His work has helped to provide new scenario-based training options that promote skill development and operational readiness.
