Concord Crews Respond to Church Fire

On the early morning of January 25, the Concord Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. responded to a structural fire that caused the loss of a local church. The fire was brought under control by firefighters from the Midway Fire and Rescue Service, Quincy Fire Department, Gadsden EMS, the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office, and the State Fire Marshal's Office. Crews worked for a long time to suppress the fire and protect surrounding properties. Officials expressed gratitude for the coordinated response and support provided by all cooperating agencies. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
