During a training session on February 3, Flagler Beach Fire Department's B-Shift firefighters worked on 2½-inch hose progression. Crews focused on location, communication, and synchronized action to increase efficiency when deploying large-caliber handlines. The training emphasizes teamwork, strength, and skill, all of which are necessary when delivering large amounts of water during firefighting operations. According to officials, frequent hands-on training helps crews maintain readiness and promotes safer, more effective responses. FCFR Rescue 45 members also participated in the evolution, which strengthened regional collaboration and operating standards.
