4 Adults & 4 Children Displaced by House Fire in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY - Winona Lake responded to a reported structure fire at 31 Innis Ave. on February 25th. Car 1 requested a second-alarm sounded for a fully involved structure fire. Orange Lake, Newburgh and Good Will Fire Departments responded to the scene. Firefighters used hand lines and ground ladders and made entry into the front of the residence. A primary search was conducted which was negative. Fire was found on the second-floor and knocked down. Firefighters began removing siding while hitting hot spots. Town of Newburgh Police and EMS were at the scene. Central Hudson was called for a power cut. Coldenham FD's FAST was requested to the scene. The fire was placed under control in 40 minutes with three lines in operation. Orange County Deputy Fire Coordinator 36-13 was at the scene. The Red Cross was requested to the scene for 4 adults and 4 children who were displaced. Innis Ave. was shut down while operations were ongoing. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
