Bethlehem- At around O9:30 hrs. on February 13th, the BFD responded to a fire in a single family dwelling located at 1426 East 5th St. on the southside. On arrival, heavy flames were seen coming from the front of the two and one half story frame and a second and an eventual third alarm were requested.

 As companies were engaged in this fire, another working single family dwelling fire developed in the 1900 block Hart St. in the city's northeast section. Due to numerous voids in the dwelling, that fire went for two alarms after 11:20 hrs. The Allentown FD had sent E13 to the East 5th St. fire but was freed up for Hart St. call. As a backfill replacement for E13, E4 was also diverted to the working dwelling fire scene on Hart St.  

The third alarm fire had heavy damage to the dwelling and there were no injuries. On the two alarm dwelling fire, two firefighters were treated by Bethlehem EMS on scene and will have follow up check ups.
