Two Rescued After Rollover Crash with Entrapment on Maine Turnpike On-Ramp in Auburn

February 11, 2026 — The Auburn Fire Department, in coordination with the Maine Turnpike Authority and Maine State Police, responded to the northbound on-ramp of the Maine Turnpike in Auburn for a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Upon arrival, crews located a vehicle overturned on its side against a guardrail, requiring immediate stabilization and extrication efforts. Firefighters quickly secured the vehicle and utilized specialized rescue tools to remove the roof, safely extricating two patients from inside. One patient was transported by Auburn Fire Department personnel to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The second patient was evaluated on scene. The incident temporarily impacted traffic in the area as emergency responders worked to safely clear the scene and investigate the cause of the crash.
