PORT RICHEY, FL — January 31st — During a reported vessel fire this past Thursday, Port Richey Fire Department Fire Boat 42 went on mutual assistance to support Pasco County Fire Rescue. Marine units collaborated to contain the fire, safeguard adjacent docks and boats, and lessen the damage on the surrounding waterways. Fire Boat 42 facilitated communication with partner agencies, assisted with suppression efforts, and ensured site safety.

Due to restricted access, shifting conditions, and the requirement to control water supply directly from nearby seas, marine firefighting necessitates particular training. According to officials, coastal towns still depend on mutual aid responses on the ocean to ensure prompt, coordinated action to save lives and property. Strong alliances and frequent cooperative training enhance preparedness and safety throughout the region, according to department heads.
