Multi-Agency Training Held in Ball Ground

BALL GROUND, GA — February 2nd — Recruits enrolled in the Yellow Creek Fire Department's Basic Firefighter course witnessed actual fire evolutions. During the training, volunteers and professional staff from several agencies participated in practical fireground exercises. As students got ready for their final assessment later this month, evolutions concentrated on fire attack, search, ventilation, and collaboration.


Firefighters from the following departments participated: Alpharetta, Lumpkin County, Bent Tree, Hinton, Yellow Creek, and Pickens County Fire and Rescue. The event was supported by a number of partner agencies. The training site was provided by Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services. Pickens County, Jasper, Gilmer County, and Hinton fire departments supported operations, while Alpharetta Fire provided people, equipment, and rehabilitation assistance.
