Arab, AL - Fire crews with Arab FD and 4C-VFD worked a residential fire on Thursday, February 21st on Fry Gap Road in downtown Arab.

Crews on Ladder 1 and Engine 1 arrived to a single-story residence with heavy smoke visible throughout the structure, and flames visible from the rear of the 'D' side of the structure. Captain Jackie Ridgeway had firefighters begin an aggressive interior attack through the front door.

Crews were able to contain the fire to a single bedroom, however there was extensive heat and smoke damage throughout the residence. Automatic aid with 4C-VFD provided a tanker and additional personnel to the scene. Off duty personnel were also called in for additional assistance at the scene. Samaritan EMS and Arab Police assisted at the scene.

No one was injured during the incident and the cause is under investigation by the Marshall County Arson Task Force.
