Mutual Aid Partners Assist in Toccoa Call

Toccoa, Georgia — January 31st — Eastanollee Fire, Big Smith Fire, Stephens County EMS, and sheriff's deputies joined the Carnes Creek Fire Department in responding to a reported home structure fire in the 300 block of Crawford Circle. After arriving, units performed a thorough scene size-up, looking for hazards, fire, and smoke. After conducting an internal inquiry, firefighters concluded that there was no active fire. An internal mechanical problem was the cause of the incident. Before leaving the scene, workers made sure the area was secure and ventilated the building as needed. There were no reported injuries. Every responding agency went back to work. According to officials, confirming risks, preserving life and property, and being prepared for future catastrophes all depend on early reporting and coordinated response.
