Reidsville, Georgia — February 1st — A structure fire on Hilton Hall Road prompted the Reidsville Fire Department, Tattnall County Fire, Rogers State Prison Fire, and Tattnall County EMS to react. When units arrived, they saw smoke coming from a mobile home's roof and started working inside. Firefighters discovered a fire that had spread between roof levels in the ceiling next to a fireplace. While assessing potential expansion, crews cleared the area, set up handlines, and contained the fire. There were no reported injuries. The American Red Cross offered support and temporary shelter to three individuals and one kid who were relocated. To lower the risk of fire and increase safety, officials emphasized the significance of early 911 calls, operational smoke alarms, and safe fireplace procedures.
