Serious MVA with Entrapment Near Plattekill Turnpike

NEWBURGH, NY - The Town of Newburgh Police Dept. is investigating a serious MVA on State Route 300 in the area of Plattekill Turnpike that occurred on February 22nd. When Cronomer Valley FD responded to the scene, the driver was found pinned inside of the vehicle. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver while EMS requested a MedEvac to the scene. Town of Newburgh EMS and firefighters removed the subject from the vehicle as Winona Lake FD set up a landing zone at Gardnertown School. The victim was then turned over to Life Net and airlifted to Westchester Medical Center. The Town of Newburgh Police ID Unit was called in to take pictures, and the area between Gardnertown Road and Plattekill Turnpike was shut down while Town of Newburgh police invesigated the scene.
