On February 19, Chief Stevens of the LaBelle Fire Department represented the department at the 3rd Annual Florida Fire Service Day at the Capitol, where he was joined by firefighters from across the state. The event brings together firemen, chiefs, and public safety professionals to honor those who work tirelessly to safeguard their communities.

Throughout the day, participants met with state senators to discuss fire service priorities such as training, staffing, equipment, and community safety programs. The event also served as a chance to emphasize the role of local agencies and the significance of ongoing support for emergency services. LaBelle Fire Department officials said having leadership present at the state level helps ensure the needs of firefighters and the communities they serve remain part of ongoing conversations.
