February 9, 2026 — The Boxford Fire Department held a training night focused on long lug-out drills, reinforcing hose advancement techniques, air management, and teamwork under full SCBA.

Firefighters navigated hallways and obstacles while operating on air, simulating realistic fireground conditions that require coordination and endurance. To close out the evening, members incorporated several rounds of dodgeball while wearing full gear and SCBA — a hands-on way to build stamina, communication, and crew cohesion.

Boy Scout Troop #51 also joined in to observe and participate in the evening’s activities, getting a firsthand look at fire department training.

The department continues to prioritize skill development while fostering teamwork and community engagement.
