February 20, 2026 — Ambulance 2 and Ambulance 3 were both staged at Lawrence General Hospital earlier today, a visible sign of a busy shift for the firefighters assigned to Unit 2.

EMS call volume is up 44 percent compared to 2024, making it increasingly common to see two or more Andover ambulances at local hospitals at the same time. The addition of a third ambulance has helped the department keep pace with the rising demand for service.

Ambulance crews continue to move from call to call while maintaining a high level of patient care throughout each shift.

The department remains proud to serve the Town of Andover and meet the growing needs of the community.
