February 18, 2026 – Units from the Bendersville Community Fire Department were dispatched at 1:36 a.m. to the 600 block of Peach Glen-Idaville Road for a reported house fire. Upon arrival, Chief 7 confirmed a working fire in a one-story single-family home. Deputy Chief Kime assumed command and directed fire attack operations as Engine 7-2 deployed two handlines on arrival to begin suppression efforts. One occupant self-evacuated prior to crews entering the structure and was transported for medical evaluation. Firefighters operated on scene for nearly three hours to bring the blaze under control, working through heavy smoke and active fire conditions to contain the damage and ensure the area was safe.
