UNION COUNTY, GA - A brush fire that spread to a nearby building was responded to by Union County Fire/Rescue & EMA on February 12th. All stations sent firefighters and equipment, and the Georgia Forestry Commission provided assistance. In dry weather, crews concentrated on containment, exposure protection, and stopping additional spread.
To contain the situation, firefighters employed a coordinated strategy that included fire lines, hand tools, and a water supply. There were no reported injuries. Early notice and a prompt, multi-agency reaction, according to officials, helped minimize damage and enhance safety.
