NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL — February 1st — The City of New Smyrna Beach Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire on Pine Shores Circle. Crews arrived to see flames in a woody chimney dwelling area. Firefighters from New Smyrna Beach and Volusia County promptly set up handlines and began suppression efforts. The concerted response resulted in a quick knockdown, successfully limiting the fire to the chimney area and preventing it from spreading into the inside of the home. Officials reported no injuries.
