TOCCOA, GA — January 24th — In the 400 block of Sherwood Street, a pedestrian collision was reported. The Carnes Creek Fire Department, located at 1037 Wards Circle and 929 Mize Road, Toccoa, GA, USA, responded. Additionally responding were the Stephens County Sheriff's Office and Stephens County EMS.

One patient who had been hit by an uncontrollably moving car was found by the first responding units. Before being transported by EMS to a local trauma hospital, the patient was stabilized and treated on the spot by firefighters and paramedics. There were no other recorded injuries. Additionally, the car collided with an adjacent house, seriously damaging its structure. While law enforcement carried out the investigation, crews secured the scene and helped mitigate hazards.
