TOCCOA, GA — January 24th — A structure fire was reported in the 2500 block of West Currahee Street, and the Carnes Creek Fire Department, located at 1037 Wards Circle - 929 Mize Rd, Toccoa, GA, United States, responded. Shiloh Fire, New Hope Fire, Stephens County EMS, and the Stephens County Sheriff's Office all provided mutual aid in response to the several reports that dispatch received.

When firefighters arrived, they saw a camper completely engulfed next to a house. They set up assault lines to stop the fire from spreading to the house. No casualties were reported, and the fire was promptly contained. To put out hot spots and make sure the area was secure, crews stayed on the scene. To lower risk, officials continue to advise locals to keep a safe distance from buildings and to follow fire safety procedures.
