NORTH PORT, FL — January 21st — Twelve kids from The Adventure Academy, a nearby homeschool organization, visited Station 86 for a fire safety and station visit with North Port Fire Rescue, located at 4980 City Center Boulevard. A well-organized presentation on smoke alarms, home escape preparation, and the significance of dialing 911 in an emergency was given by the crews.

Additionally, students participated in a Touch-a-Truck activity where firefighters demonstrated the use of engines, ladders, and other specialized equipment in emergency response. To observe where firefighters live, train, and get ready for calls, the group took a tour of the station. As the department strives to encourage safety, awareness, and readiness across the North Port community, North Port Fire Rescue continues to place a high premium on community outreach and fire prevention education.
