NORTH PORT, FL — January 19th — At the department's training tower, North Port Fire Rescue companies, located at 4980 City Center Boulevard, finished a concentrated training exercise that focused on coordinated fireground operations and water delivery. During simulated structure fire scenarios, crews from Stations 81 and 85 practiced catching hydrants, stretching forward lays, and setting up reliable water sources. To improve communication, hose management, and effective support for fire attack operations, several handlines were set up.

Throughout the changes, supervisors kept an eye on performance and reaffirmed teamwork, safety, and accountability. North Port Fire Rescue continues to place a high value on regular practical training, which aids staff in staying competent and prepared. By adhering to national fire service regulations, these drills help the department respond to crises and structural fires in an efficient manner.
