On January 25th, the Cocoa Beach Fire Department hosted their annual awards ceremony, bringing together members and their families to acknowledge the devotion and service of those who safeguard the town. The gathering allowed attendees to reflect on the sacrifices made by firemen, paramedics, and their families throughout the year. Awards recognized a wide range of accomplishments, including lifesaving decisions during structure fires and ocean rescues, as well as scholastic achievements like being valedictorian of a paramedic class. Honors included Paramedic of the Year, Fire Officer of the Year, and Firefighter of the Year.
