February 10th — The Alachua County Fire Rescue Cadet Program competed in the 2026 FFCA Cadet Winter Games, which were held in St. Augustine this weekend, with 49 other teams from Florida and Georgia. The event gathered together aspiring firemen to engage in hands-on, skill-based challenges aimed at developing teamwork, leadership, and operational readiness.

ACFR sent 12 cadets to represent their department. The team competed in a variety of challenges that tested their communication, coordination, and emergency response skills. The cadets finished third in the EMS Communications event, demonstrating their great training and preparation.
