COLLINS, GA - A structure fire on Hickory Hollow Lane near Collins was reported on January 20th. The Reidsville Fire Department, along with multiple mutual aid organizations, responded. Crews promptly started suppression operations after the first responding unit reported substantial flames coming from the house.

Collins Fire Department, Tattnall County Fire, Smith State Prison Fire, Rogers State Prison Fire, and Tattnall County EMS were among the agencies that provided assistance.

After bringing the fire under control in roughly 25 minutes, firefighters stayed on the scene to complete overhaul and put out hotspots. There were no reported injuries. The house is regarded as a complete loss after suffering severe fire, smoke, and water damage. The family stated that multiple animals were missing, and the source of the fire is still being investigated.
